FAQ'S
When the sun’s rays hit the solar panels on your roof, it is turned into DC current electricity. Since the house uses AC current electricity, we install an inverter to convert DC to AC. The excess electricity is either fed into the grid or stored in your battery, depending on the type of system selected.
Yes there are two primary type. Poly-crystalline (blue color) and monocrystalline (black color). The monocrystalline are more expensive and have a higher energy efficiency ratio (converting light to energy).
Solar panels will generate electricity on cloudy or rainy days, just not as much as on sunny days. To create electricity, the solar panels need direct sunlight. During monsoon rains, the amount of electricity generated is 30-50% less than on a bright sunny day.
Yes, the orientation of your solar panels will make a difference to the amount of electricity produced. A southern orientation is best, and we will look at the orientation of your roof and place the panels in the best locations at the correct angle to maximise the production of electricity on your property.
This depends on a number of factors that include how much electricity your system produces, the efficiency of your solar panels and inverter and how much electricity you use.
As the dust builds up, this blocks the amount of light hitting the solar panels thereby reducing electricity generation. To clean the panels, use clean water using water hose and a cloth if necessary to remove stains caused by bird droppings or other stains. Do not use harsh chemicals and solvents.
Both on-grid & off-grid solar power plants utilize solar panels to harness the suns energy. In off-grid solar systems, the energy generated is transferred to the Government Grid and the household adjusts the amount consumed against the amount exported. When there is failure of the government grid, even though you are generating energy, it is wasted as it cannot be used by the house.
In off-grid solar power plants, the energy generated is used by the electrical devices in the house, and the surplus is stored in the battery for night use. Government grid failure has no effect on solar system. For hybrid systems, surplus power can be exported to the grid.
There is very little maintenance for solar systems. The panels on the roof need cleaning with water and a cloth while the inverter needs frequent inspection for insects and dust. The lead acid batteries need to be topped off periodically and inspected every quarter.
On-grid solar systems will not provide you electricity during failure of government grid. For uninterrupted power supply, you should install and off-grid or hybrid solar power plant.
Yes, all electrical systems can be operated utilizing solar energy, as long as you are within the design parameters. In the night, the system shall operate using battery. Our engineers can design the solar system based on your unique requirements.
